Every Thursday for the next four weeks, the Goethe Institute will be a safe haven for documentary buffs who speak a little German or read a little Portuguese. It may strain your brain if you know neither language, but you might just learn a little something in the process.
From the organizers: The Olhares in Diálogo series comes from the meeting between the Goethe-Institut Portugal and Doclisboa. From the vast collection of the Goethe-Institut film library, we intend to display German cinema (documentaries and not only) debated and elected, and sometimes controversial, by us, and invite you to debate it within the sessions. The cycle will therefore be a space for an abe cinematographic dialogueaesthetic forms, documentary approaches and thematic thematic threads. It aims to reflect our shared present through heterogeneous looks on the German language space, and on Europe and the world, individual or collective memories of a more or less recent past.
