to July 29 | PHOTO EXHIBIT AND BOOK PRESENTATION | “Macau 5.0” by Gonçalo Lobo Pinheiro | Alcântara | FREE
In 1557, the Macau peninsula was rented to Portugal by the Chinese empire as a trading port. It stayed rented to the Portuguese until 1999.
In 2000, Gonçalo Lobo Pinheiro started taking photos of it. The result is Macau 5.0 , a 15-year photojournalistic endeavor of a book.
The book comes to Portugal for the first time (officially) on July 4th, and the Ler Davgar bookstore will be selling it exclusively.
But if you don’t have the trading means, you can still check out its 50 black and white photographs for free until the 29th.
