19 Portuguese Projects Nominated for Mies van der Rohe Architecture Award

In all, 449 projects have been nominated, so it’s not a bad take for Portugal. Among them are new buildings and rehabilitation projects all over the country, and the beloved Portuguese architect Álvaro Siza was nominated for a project in Italy.

Other Portuguese architects getting the nod include Aires Mateus, Diogo Aguiar, João Mendes Ribeiro, Inês Lobo, and more.

You can see all the Portuguese — and other — projects on EUMieasaward.com, the website of the European Union Prize for Contemporary Architecture.
