The Festas de Lisboa is an annual vibrant celebration that captures the spirit and culture of Lisbon. Where can you buy a house in Portugal for as little as €16,000? | The Portugal News

Certainly not in Lisbon! Here, the median price of homes sold in the year ending in March 2024 was €4,188 per m2, according to National Statistics Institute data cited by The Portugal News. But in Mêda, Guarda district, “it is possible to buy a 100 m2 house for 15.6 thousand euros, according to idealista,” TPN writes. In Figueira de Castelo Rodrigo, also in Guarda, you can get one for €21,000, and in Pampilhosa da Serra, in Coimbra district, for €22,400, according to TPN. We’d love to hear from anyone who actually succeeded in doing this. Otherwise — happy shopping.
