For soup and freshly-baked bread delivered hot to offset your inevitable hangover in the fine company of other liquored-up locals, this is the place to stumble into. The staff is prepared for indecisive ordering with set menus that include the caldo verde, pão com chouriço, rice pudding, and either a beer or a soda. No one ever gets the soda. If you’re a vegetarian, note that the soup comes with a slice of sausage floating in the center, so make sure to request one sem chouriço or you’ll be disappointed, or grossed out, depending on where you’ve been and what you’ve been up to.
