Buttery sauteed prawns, perfectly grilled tuna and octopus, melt-in-your-mouth beef tartare, delectable pork cheeks, and a fluffy parmesan risotto are just a few reasons to visit this charming local restaurant just off of Green Street.

Aside from the food, the charming interior is also quite alluring. The original tile finishings and marble countertops have been preserved from the original restaurant that opened in 1920, which gained the restaurant its “Loja com Historia” distinction. Outside, the cozy courtyard set off the main street feels like a private hideaway, perfect for a low-key lunch or a special evening out.

With its decent selection of cocktails and its wine list, this spot is popular for groups of friends to meet up for a drink and “Lisbon’s best cheese”, to sit down to dine, or to cap the evening with a final copo. Its charming atmosphere, friendly staff, and celebrated heritage mean reserving in advance is sometimes best.
