Atlas stepped in this vaulted seafood haven in Bairro Alto for the special seafood experience we rightly assumed would come with such a hefty price tag. We opted to split the very large cataplana so we could try a little of everything. The big surprise was the lobster pieces served atop this this traditional seafood rice dish served in a clam-shaped copper pot. The other usual suspects were there as expected: mussels, clams, and pieces of fish, and all were prepared well, lending their intoxicating juices to the pillow of rice below. It was the perfect call to split this dish with a side of vinho verde (green wine) as we left stuffed and happy as the clams in a cataplana.
