Arco da Velha
А good, simple meal in a strangely familiar dining room
In what feels like an ancient tunnel, there are tables and things from grandma’s attic (including the occasional doiley) that together create a comfortable and somewhat nostalgic dining room. The traditional soup of the day is always just right and can be paired with any of their fresh finger foods. The lady behind the counter always has great suggestions that somehow always suit your mood, and hit the spot. It can get pretty crowded as people find it difficult to leave, so you might want to try calling ahead to see if there’s space for you.
