Artis Wine Bar

A cozy respite from the craziness of Bairro Alto

Rua Diario de Noticias, 95, 1200-142

After you’ve passed by one too many of Bairro Alto’s Euro shot spots and done the tippy-toe shuffle a few too many times in order to avoid oncoming stumbling pedestrians, you’ll likely want to take refuge in this quiet, cozy wine bar trimmed with old wood-burned wine box tops. Just pop down a few steps and into their warm and inviting restaurant where you can sit with a civilized glass of wine at a proper wooden table. The snack menu options are Iberian staples and don’t disappoint. Try the batatas bravas or the peixinhos da horta if you’re a bit peckish, or opt for a more substantial dinner plate choosing from rotating daily specials like arroz do pato and bochechas do porco preto. Finally, salvation in the midst of the madness!
