Atlas stumbled onto this tasca while waiting for the nearby registos office to call our number, so we weren’t expecting much, just a quiet outdoor local area that had coffee and beer. When we saw the menu, though, we decided to stay put for a while. The chocos were grilled to that perfect crisp-outside, melty-inside texture, while the bitoque‘s egg was delicately fried just right and served atop an unusually thick beef steak, slapped on top of steamy rice with a side of fries. The hamburger was not all that special, to be honest, but it was served Portuguese style, with loads of mustard and mayonnaise on the side, and the portion was big enough to share if you’re looking to save a buck or two.
