Nepalese restaurants can be found in just about every neighborhood in Lisbon and they are all quite satisfying. However, this one, located near Praça España and the Gulbenkian Foundation, is not to be missed. Where else can you expect to find game meats like wild boar (javali) prepared in a medley of fresh spices, or a tasting menu (degustação) for two that includes five different sauces prepared to your mild to extra-hot preference? Traditional costumes worn by the staff and relics from Nepal donning the walls complement the ambiance. But word to the wise: have a cup of water ready if you are brave enough to sample the green sauce — it will knock you out of your seat.
