Consistently good seafood by the docks in Cacilhas

The service is swift, though not especially kind, but the seafood is fresh and the bread is served warm and smothered with an un-godly amount of butter. Try the clams and the shrimp in garlic sauce and save a few pieces of bread to scoop up all the sauce of what’s left of the dish. The Portuguese are only apologizing for going elbow-deep in the saucy goodness to appear polite. Really, it’s the only way to ensure you get every ounce of the garlicy goodness on the plate. The bill is a bit inflated for the ambiance: it’s a bit too bright and a bit too crowded, but if you’re in it for the seafood, you won’t be disappointed.
