For a taste of Peru with an ingenious dash of Portuguese, check out chef Kiko’s kitchen in Príncipe Real. Try the pisco sours if you’ve never had one, they know how to make them and it’s somewhat worth the 7,50€ price tag. Food-wise, Atlas requested the tasting menu, which was a sampler dedicated to the individual subtlety of Peruvian tastes and their flavorful mingling when dipped and dashed together. The ambience is elegant but with a good sense of humor — hanging over the restaurant is a giant octopus there to make sure you don’t take yourself too seriously. That, or to remind you that it’s all in good fun when the bill comes.
