CONCERT | Badan at Pensão Amor | Cais do Sodré | FREE @ Pensão Amor | Lisboa | Lisboa | Portugal

Mariana Badan, aka Badan, is originally from Cuiabá, Brazil. Badan has been making some serious noise here in Lisbon for a year and a half now, lending her chops to and collaborating with dozens of musicians of all genres.

This coming Tuesday, everybody’s favorite former whorehouse-turned-danceclub and bar above Pink Street — aka Pensão Amor — invites Badan for an intimate live show. And you’re invited too.

Here’s how they describe their guest of honor:
“In her performances, she mixes theater, expansion, melody, and a lot of catastrophe.”

Inticing…

Weekly | LIVE MUSIC | Jam70 at Anjos70 | Anjos | FREE @ Anjos70 | Lisboa | Lisboa | Portugal

Depending on the job, Wednesdays can leave some people feeling like they’re in a jam. Anjos70 (no, despite popular belief we are not on their payroll; we just like the place) offers a way to get out of said jam with a weekly jam session.
Local musicians — André Jessen on drums, Jorge Figueiredo on bass, Bruno Vieira on guitar and Inês Laranjeira on vocals — will help you get through the work week with some live tunes. And, if you have a voice and/or an instrument, feel free to jump in on the jam.

There’s also a vegan dinner option at 18h, if that’s still your thing.

Monthly | WINE AND LIVE MUSIC | Bacchus Hour at Teatro Romano | Alfama | FREE @ Museu de Lisboa – Teatro Romano | Lisboa | Portugal

“Prepare yourselves
for the roaring voice of the God of Joy!”
Euripides, The Bacchae.

Bacchus, aka Dionysus, as you may have heard, is kind of a party dude. He woulda liked Lisbon… And it’s likely that one of his favorite places to indulge would be Museu Lisboa: Teatro Romano .
So to honor the coolest of our heavenly Roman friends, the museum invites you to chill like a god and enjoy an evening of live music, amid some ancient ruins, god nectar in hand and river in view, for their version of Happy Hour.
That’s right, you guessed it: Bacchus Hour.

Every last Thursday evening of each month.

FREE ENTRY.

Saude indeed!
