“The first edition of the STAY BROKE BLOCK PARTY festival introduces the Stay Broke Label to the world, and the world to artists. Fusing the roots of hip-hop, soul, experimental music, and freestyle rap, we combine music with art, and art with the public. We have more than 20 artists in the fields of music, illustration, street art, photography, painting, and installation, which come together in a moment of pure urban expression.
A festival without barriers, where the public is an artist and where everyone is invited to be part of the vanguard, where elites do not exist. STAY BROKE BLOCK PARTY marks the art in Portugal by breaking barriers between artists and spectators. Art arises in the sense of being made by all, and for all present.”
