to Oct 27 | ART EXHIBIT | Banksy: Genius or Vandal? | Belém | 6 – 32€
Av. da Índia
1300-598 Lisboa
Portugal

“Some people become cops because they want to make the world a better place. Some people become vandals because they want to make the world a better-looking place.”
Banksy.
Well, the elusive Brit that is Banksy has definitely made the world better-looking. So that answers that question.
Then again, no one says that being a vandal and being a genius are mutually exclusive. For the next few months, the centuries-old former naval rope-making factory-turned exhibition center that is Cordoaria Nacional invites you to view some of the mysterious bad boy’s pieces out of their natural habitat. Over 70 works, including original pieces, sculptures, art installations, video, and photography.
Here’s what they add (those vandals):
“This exhibition, like all previous shows of Banksy’s work, is not authorized by the artist, who seeks to protect his anonymity and independence from the system.”
Opening Hours:
Sun to Fri – 10h-19h.
Saturdays- 10h-20h.
(Final entry one hour before closing).
