BOOK PRESENTATION PARTY | TRYING: Noite de Musica, Poesia e Arte | 3€-TBD

Here’s what the local ragtag whacky crew of party-throwers and culture-growers from way up north known as the Garden Collective, and its co-founder Niall Hearne (who once again arrives in Lisbon from his native Cork this Saturday, August 6th, to plant some love seeds), say about this Saturday, August 6th:

A night of poetry, art, and performance celebrating the release of the poetry book Trying from Niall Hearne. The event will be hosted by our lovely friends at Ouriço and will be a night of poetry, performance, live music, DJs, and art exhibition.
The night will flow together as one experience, featuring artists such as Smoked Falmon, Shaka’s Lo-fi Experience, Niall, BΓ©a, Abia, Tabea, Praying Mantis, and Beatschrute.

𝐀𝐑𝐓:
The day will begin early with a Darkroom printing workshop run by Abia Karim.
”This workshop will be a full process of shooting, developing, & printing. We will co-create a black and white photo series for the event β€œtrying” to exhibit on the day of.”

Running from 14h- 17h.

There will also be an exhibition of various paintings from Tabea. These paintings will be exhibited in one of the studio spaces.

Smoked Falmon will be the orchestrator of sound for the night, weaving the performances together as one flowing stream.
Shaka’s Lo-Fi will take to the stage alongside The Falmon and also deliver is Hendrix-inspired berimbau sonic experience

𝐃𝐉𝐬:
Praying Mantis and Beatschrute will be providing tunes for the movers and shakers throughout the day and into the night.

π–πŽπ‘πƒπ’:
There will be a spoken word set from Niall, performing poems from his recently released book Trying. There will also be guests words from guest poets such as BΓ©a, Abia and more..

ENTRY: 3€ reccomended donation.

There are limited spaces, so get down early! Food will also be available on the night.
