Nikolai Lugansky plays piano; also, he looks like he knows something we don’t.
And chances are he does.
For example (from Wikipedia):
“At the age of five, before he had learned to read music, he played a Beethoven piano sonata learned completely by ear.”
Or, from the organizers:
“Nikolai was only 19 when, due to a cancellation, his piano teacher asked him if he could prepare to perform a Rachmaninov piano concert in a month. Lugansky accepted and memorized the score in three days.”
Nikolai just finished a few gigs in South Korea, and now he comes to the Gulbenkian, this coming Monday, to play some more piano.
Come hear what Nikolai knows.
