SAXOPHONE CONCERT | Rodrigo Amado: Refraction | 8€
May 4 @ 19:00 - 20:00€8
This is what local musician Rodrigo Amado’s bandcamp says about him:
“Recently voted as #1 Tenor Saxophonist on El Intruso International Critics Poll, as stated by a poll of 50 critics and writers from 18 countries, Rodrigo Amado frequently tours Europe and North America with his own groups. Stuart Broomer wrote: ‘Amado is an emerging master of a great tradition, more apparent with each new recording or performance.'”
Rodrigo has a solo show coming up this Tuesday. It’s called ‘Refraction,’ and here’s what its organizers say about that:
“Public reflection of this long, long period of confinement, Rodrigo Amado’s Refraction Solo was projected in solitude as a way of channeling energies and reflecting on his own path and the bases of it – his ‘masters,’ the ghosts that hover over and that are also your music. Gathering suggestions, ways, and central premises of great themes such as Ornette Coleman, Sonny Rollins, or Thelonious Monk to refract them in a free and improvised speech, Amado is part of a tradition, while continuing it, sublimating this glorious past in the momentary gift.”
Capacity is limited and the use of a mask is mandatory.
