Well, folks, things are still weird. And, in all this pandemic madness you might have forgotten about Africa Day.
If that’s the case, or if you just didn’t get a chance to really celebrate — don’t worry.
Here’s what the organizers of this one say:
“May 25, Africa Day was celebrated. To mark the day, Casa Mocambo, with the singer Chalo Correia, proposes the 2nd edition of Saturday dinner. In the past, given the limited seats imposed by the DGS for security reasons, it left many waiting outside.
We propose a 2nd day of reunion at home with two moments,
6 pm to 7:30 pm – Snacks and appetizers with the sounds of Chalo Correia.
No minimum consumption required.
8 pm to 10:30 pm – Dinner with Chalo Correia.
Minimum contribution of € 3 for the Artist.

Fish and shrimp stew with basmati rice.
Moamba de Galinha with funge
Cachupa Vegan with tofu and soy.

It would be important to choose the dish in advance.
Chalo Correia is a musician, an Angolan composer, but also an Alfacinha, who makes Semba de Angola, among other styles, his artistic expression using his blue belt guitar, the harmonica supported in the Bob Dylan style, among traditional instruments like the dicanza and the “hungu”, which comes to be reborn in Brazil as “berimbau”, which dominates to create rhythm with the measured liveliness of a train that does not stop.
