“The Voodoo Club is a collective project from Lisbon, conceived by DJs King Dead Billy and Hang the DJ that aims for the production and dissemination of music and performing arts events through live concerts, DJing, and Burlesque Shows.

Our musical influences come from the ’50s and ’60s , yet the musical journey we provide is also made with later sounds whose influence are from these years, through the Jungle – Exotica, Surf Rock, Sleazy Music, Psychobilly, Rockabilly, Rock’n’Roll, Garage Punk, Soul and Dirty Blues.

Another influence is the aesthetic and the whole universe of the retro B movies of the 1950s, horror , sci-fi, westerns, and vintage comics of that time.

The Voodoo Club promises you a journey through time to all these parallel universes , and for that we have the collaboration of bands and DJs that identify themselves with these genres.

Ghouls , witches, zombies , vampires, werewolves , monsters from other galaxies and freaks are all welcome.”

The Voodoo Club DJs come to Crafty Corner this Saturday, and things are bound to get weird.
