Here’s what Village Underground Lisboa, organizers of this all-nighter, say:
“Finally, spring.
The Earth is renewing itself and with it our will to fill the cup of MANA again.
That’s why, in April, we’ll be spinning our wheels, distributing music in the hope that, epiphany after epiphany, the energy of the dance floor will contaminate the world with peace, love, and unity.
On April 24th, we join our voice with the DJs for Climate Action movement in celebration of Earth Day.
We want to call attention to the urgency of everyone’s intervention in reversing the damage that, as humanity, we continue to inflict on the planet. To this end, we will have the participation of incredible DJs living in Lisbon and we will also have the creative soul of Uliaruduliarud turning the plastic we will collect on a beach, with the help of Planet Caretakers, into an art installation. The profits from the event will be donated to the ‘Free Dunes Movement,’ which is fighting to free the dunes of Troia from the clutches of real estate exploitation for tourism.
Let’s join our energy to that of the universe and dance together to transform what no longer serves us into pure creative force.”
