Sound can make a film either great or terrible. NYC native Tom Fleischman knows this. He has done sound for such classics as The Departed, Shutter Island, The Silence of the Lambs, The Aviator, and many more. He has been nominated for an Oscar more than once and even won one for his work on Hugo.
This Friday, The Portuguese Academy of Cinema presents Tom with the “Sophia Lifetime Achievement Award,” followed by a screening of The Silence of the Lambs.
Tom will be there.
