“Loreto Gallery was one of the five galleries that were part of the aqueduct system of Free Waters. Its length, fully buried, was 2835 meters and including all extensions.

Loreto Gallery presents the following underground route:

• Home in the House of Registry, adjacent to the reservoir of the Mother Water Amoreiras in Amoreiras Street
• Descend the same alignment of the Rua das Amoreiras to the Largo do Rato
• Passage in the same alignment of Rua da Escola Politécnica
• Passage in the same alignment of Rua Dom Pedro V
• Proceeds by Mercy Street
• Through the Largo do Chiado
• Proceeds by Paiva de Andrade Street
• Ends at Largo de São Carlos

After leaving the viewpoint of St. Peter of Alcantara we will walk passing in places such as Bairro Alto, Church of St. Catherine, St. Benedict, Garden and Basilica da Estrela, Largo do Rato and Garden Amoreiras.”
