Bairro Alto is flooded with tourists. Tuk tuks. Souvenir shops.
But, first and foremost, it’s flooded with history, beauty, culture, and charm. And although it can be difficult for locals to stay on the sidewalk while maintaining a decent walking pace when there, the neighborhood somehow manages to retain all of the above with ease. This is partly due to its awe-inspiring architecture.
This Saturday, Caminhando.pt invites you to take a closer look at some of that architecture, namely: the Convent of the Cardans, the Convent of S. Pedro de Alcântara, and, finally, the Church of S. Roque.
