to Apr 24 | GUIDED TOUR | Lisbon Street Art | Martim Moniz | FREE – 20€
“Graffiti is one of the few tools you have if you have almost nothing. And even if you don’t come up with a picture to cure world poverty you can make someone smile while they’re having a piss.”
If you’ve walked around Lisbon for more than a few minutes, you’ve probably noticed that this city definitely holds its own when it comes to street art.
And locals yesyoucan.spray, a collective that organizes paint sessions and workshops with artists living or passing through Lisbon, want to keep it that way.
So, every Wednesday through the end of April, they team up with Lisbon Street Art Tours to help you, in their words, “dig into this vivid city in an artistic and fun way, be it as a street art hunter, -lover, or -wanna-be…”
Meet them at Martim Moniz, at 10 am, for a two-and-a-half-hour informative stroll through the endless open-air gallery that is Lisbon.
IMPORTANT: The price of the open tour is not fixed; YOU decide what to give at the end. But keep in mind that this is how they make a living, and that minimum wage sucks.
Suggested donation is 10 to 20€ per person.
