LIVE MUSIC | Smoked Falmon + Madama | Intendente | FREE
MADAMA is a local musician who has drummed with several Lisbon outfits throughout the previous decade. Recently he has been doing the solo thing, traveling, sound-wise, between ritualistic chanting, percussion, and folk instruments.
MADMA doesn’t like being confined to a single genre — for this reason, he identifies his most recent stuff as “shamangarde.”
SmokedFalmon is the solo project by other local Nuno Ferreira, who was “born under a stone in the early ’90s.” He has been busking around Europe and Lisbon for years, with his acoustic guitar and loop station, mostly using his fingers to create eerie, melodic post-rock, ambient chill-out, and some downtempo grooves, to feed himself and any soul willing to listen.
These two shamans of the soundscape realm join forces at Ágora Experimental this Friday night to keep sh.t funky.
There will also be food, of the physical and spiritual variety, and, of course, drink.
