Flea markets, even the bad ones, are pretty cool. Everybody knows that. And Lisbon is full of them. But, if you’re looking for an alternative to your average second-hand goods haven, and prefer something more spiritual than, say, a vinyl record of Lenin’s early speeches, a phone charger, an antique hunting knife, or what have you, Feira Alternativa (“Alternative Market”) might just be for you. Wellness is their main product, and here’s how they describe their aim:
“Our Mission is to work with LOVE and SPIRIT TO SERVE, contribute to a BETTER WORLD, spreading and sharing knowledge in the area of Personal Development. We have CONSCIOUSNESS and TRUTH as our Values.”
This year, in its 13th edition, there are over 100 activities, including lectures, workshops, yoga, cooking, meditation, natural therapies, natural cosmetics, crafts, and more. And over 150 exhibitors. It’s not exactly Feira da Ladra, but there very well may be a few hidden gems.
HOURS: Friday: 15h – 23h; Saturday/Sunday: 10h – 23h.
TIX: Daily pass is 5€; alternatively, 9,90€ gets you a three-day pass (tix can be purchased at the venue, or here).
Kids 10 and under — free.
Be well!
