Festival a Porta opens its doors to Portugal this weekend, and anyone who knows anything knows that.
But, did you know that there is a festival inside the Festival a Porta?
Yep.
It’s called Villa Omnichord (which is a very cool name), and it’s on the eve of June 20th. In the organizers’ words, “Villa Omnichord is a celebration of a great family, is a feast for Leiria, and is the occupation of one of the most incredible places of our city.”
It’s a little out of town, but definitely some worthy (local and other) names in the line-up.
And a dope venue.
Here’s the festvial within a festival’s program (with links to artists):
16h00: Portas (doors).
17h00: Few Fingers
17h45: Obaa sima
18h30: Jerónimo
19h15: Whales com elementos de First Breath After Coma.
21h30: La Baq com elementos de First Breath After Coma.
22h30: Surma + Joana Guerra + João Hasselberg.
ENTRY: 10€.
Tickets at Praça Cafée or here.
And check out what Surma, one of the main headliners, tells Atlas here.
Here’s a bite-sized preview of the not so distant sounds.
