Interwebs: “overland:” adjective / adverb = by land;
verb = travel a long distance over land.

Fortunately, in downtown Lisbon, the word overland seldom applies. Unless you count the hills of course.

A few years back, two artsy Brits traveled oversea to Lisbon to make some art. Last year, said Brits opened the printmaking atelier/ artist space Lisboa Social Press. This Saturday, Lisboa Social Press presents Overland 2020, an evening of multimedia and video art, complete with viewer participation.

They add:
“Instinctively collaborative, the work explores methods of storytelling through a variety of design and production practices. Overland 2020 celebrates the coexistence of nostalgia and futuristic ideals as life, social interaction, and art become increasingly digital and cloud-based.
With a strong emphasis on togetherness, community, and the role of the viewer in completing the works, visitors will be encouraged to interact, create, play, and engage.”
