MUSIC | Balkanália at BUS | Intendente | FREE – 1,50€

BUS – Paragem Cultural , a well-hidden, literally underground landmark of Lisbon culture that refuses to be gentrified, is always a safe bet for a Friday night, for both locals and passers-through. The drinks are humanely priced and quickly served. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The music is usually good, local or other. The vibe fluctuates between relaxed and energetic. The crowd speaks more than just English. Also, there’s a foosball table. And, sometimes, anything goes…
However, entrance is exclusive to members. Non-members will be charged the annual fee.
What’s the annual fee, you ask?
1,50€.
Take that, gentrification.

This Friday night, BUS is taking us back east again — musically speaking — with the November edition of their Balkanália party. Here’s how they describe the evening:
“Anything goes. Any bizarre, clutter, frenzy of fun is allowed.
We want wine, beer, lots of rampant dance to the best Balkan music!”

FREE ENTRY (with the 1,50€ annual membership).
