MUSIC FESTIVAL | Liv(r)e 2020 | ONLINE | FREE
What is “livre”? It’s a Portuguese word that means “free.” And, in times of pandemic, “free” is becoming an increasingly relative term.
Fortunately, and thanks to the freedom of the internet, you’re still livre to enjoy a three-day online music festival that kicks off on Portugal’s freest weekend.
Here’s what the organizers of Liv(r)e 2020 say:
“What is Liv(r)e?
It is an online festival that takes place on the 24th, 25th, and 26th of April, with four sessions of three concerts of 30 minutes each.
The artists, announced over the next few days, are linked by a common vision of music and its interventional, constructive, and redeeming role. By the word, the composition or the purpose of their songs, three curators selected 12 artists to sing for freedom.
The festival kicks off every night at 21h30. On April 25, there is also a special broadcast at 17h30. Between each concert, there is an interview made by one or more interlocutors, based on some of the questions asked by the audience during the concerts.”
