MUSIC | FESTIVAL UNIÃO HIP HOP + REGGAE: LISBON | 30€

“After five Brazilian editions, União Hip Hop + Reggae Festival will debut its first international version on September 17th, in Lisbon, at LX Factory. And the two big stars of the event will be the Portuguese Valete, representing Hip Hop, and the Brazilians Ponto de Equilíbrio, in Reggae. The musical event bets on the mixture between two rhythms and cultures that apparently seem so different, but complement each other, uniting the worshippers of both sides.

‘Portugal has welcomed us with open arms. We are sister-countries and these bonds of brotherhood are exactly what the event wants to pass on. The union between apparently different musical styles creates, through music, an atmosphere that stimulates harmony and healthy coexistence between people and their differences. Our project is a long-term one, because we intend to hold not only the first edition, but several other,’ explained the event’s producer, Dirceu Melo.

By September, five more attractions will be presented, which will close the poster of the eight-hour-long event.”
