MUSIC FOR RENT | Live Stream Series: The Good, The Bad & The Pasta | ONLINE | FREE (donations welcome)
Rent. In Lisbon, with or without a global pandemic, it can be downright ugly. But it still beats New York, right?
Here’s what the local starving artists organizing this one say:
“In New York, During the 1920s, “Rent Parties” were a social occasion where tenants would hire a musician or band to play and pass the hat to raise money to pay their rent. History has a funny way of repeating itself…
Since we live in Time-Out Magazine’s #1 world’s trendiest neighborhood, and we are struggling to pay our rent due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we will be broadcasting a series of 3 live-stream concerts from our kitchen with a virtual hat to collect donations.
The live-streams will take place on three consecutive Saturdays.
Sat 09/05 – Mattia Corda & The Calypso Nightmare – “Music from the Islands…”
Sat 16/05 – Simone Carugati Verga – Sad Cowboy songs; Old Swing
Sat 23/05 – Daniele Pistone – Concert to be announced.
*We will be Live Streaming from 20h (GMT) for between 1-2 hours and we suggest you join us at your screen with your dinner or a drink as the Live-stream will be a chance to hang out with us, get up close and personal, ask questions and, most importantly, meet Lisbon’s infamous comment-monitor: “Dr. Pasta” (Edoardo Pasta).
Our aim is to inspire and entertain people stuck in quarantine with our music and stories. We want to take you on a virtual tour outside the four walls of your home and if you like what we do this is how you can donate via GoFundMe, PayPal, or MBWay.”
