Looking to add some live hip-hop to your weekend itinerary? DJ Carie is a DJ who came to Lisbon from France almost three years ago. She decided to stay for the love of the Portuguese language. She is now a resident monthly DJ at Casa Independente. This Friday she presents “Itineraries #22: Original MCs”, where she invites two spoken word and rap artists that have been making serious waves in Lisbon’s nightly music scene this year — Zimbabwe’s SYNIK and Portugal’s HAEL — for a musical journey you don’t want to miss.
