The happy, maskless, non-social-distancing people above are Ensemble Palhetas Duplas, the 16-year-old musical brainchild of oboist Francisco Luís Vieira, self-described as “an instrumental set of homogeneous sounds: oboe, English horn, oboe d’amore, bassoon, and contrabass.”
Last summer, they performed at the CCB, with guest conductor Francisco Sequeira and with a program of works by Händel, Jean-Baptiste Lully, Astor Piazzolla, Henry Purcell, and Carlos Seixas.
This Sunday, you can check out that concert online for five bucks, available all day long.
