Sam Lahoud has an extensive CV. He is, among other things, a scriptwriter, a director, a lecturer, and co-founder of many a film festival, including the Beirut International Women Film Festival. This Saturday, Sam wants to teach you, in English, how to tell a story on film, free of charge, and so here’s what he says about his two-hour online masterclass:
“What are the challenges and problematics of storytelling in the digital age? In a modern world where digital platforms are starving for commercial content, what are the choices left for independent filmmakers? From ideas to distribution, this session will explore the placement of independent filmmakers, youth, women, queer, and everyone who has a story to tell on the screens of this modern era.”
