With World War III well underway, a new decade dawning, and the planet persistently on fire, it seems that now more than ever what we need is resolution.
Here’s what Storytelling Lisboa — “voices from around the world sharing in an open-mic storytelling format” — propose:
“The theme for January is “Resolution” in honor of the new year. (And just to note: due to the holidays, storytelling will be the third Wednesday of the month this month instead of the first). Interpret the theme freely. Give us your tales of New Year resolution fails, of getting closure, or of mediating a tricky situation. Maybe it is about that time you decided to start exercising and suddenly found yourself addicted to ultra marathons. Or when you finally poured out all your feelings to your father and got that hug that resolved everything. Or about the struggle to get to the point when you were finally ready to give up that really bad habit for good.
Please come just to listen or get on stage, be vulnerable, and share with us, a diverse group of welcoming and open people who are curious about each others’ lives.
Stories will last from 7 to 10 minutes. Expect anywhere from 8 to 10 stories plus an intermission.

Happy resolving.
