Carapaus Afrobeat, the nine Brazilian/Portuguese musicians who have been a household name here in Lisbon for years, whose music is inspired by the various sounds of Africa, and whose motto is, therefore, “AFROBEAT NO GO DIE!,” are back with a vengeance after the two-week lockdown. This coming Thursday, for example, they take to the stage once again, this time on the terrace of Casa do Capitão, to demonstrate that afrobeat, and with it Lisbon, are very much alive.
