From Cultura na Rua, the organizers:
“Lisbon will once again be energized by the marchas populares, following a two-year hiatus due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The individuality of the city’s neighborhoods will be on full display as the parade makes its way along the Avenida da Liberdade, with the marchantes filling the streets with colour, music and sparkle, providing their own take on the tradition which rose to fame in the 1930s. For the first time, the Children’s Parade will also take place on the Avenida.”
This year with special guests Marcha Popular de Vale do Açor.
