“I think women are foolish to pretend they are equal to men. They are far superior and always have been…”
William Golding.
We agree with William. So we’ll let the organizers of this one do the talking:
“‘Eroticism’ originates from the Greek word ‘eros’, which means ‘love’. To the Greeks, Eros was the name of God who was the embodiment of sexual love.
Sexual love. Passion. Sex. Sexuality. Desire … All these universes meet, without frontiers, within the poetic word “eroticism”. But it happens that they are sometimes limited within the heteronormative context that imposes roles on women (and men) by limiting these universes, being repressed for those who can not or do not want to free them.
In this sense, let’s talk about all of them, through the literary voice of great women writers. For this evening we invite Ana Margarida Silva (Portugal) and Madalena Moreira de Sá (Portugal) who will read the texts together with us, the organizers of the meeting Irma Estopiñà (Spain) and Júlia Zuza (Brazil). Then the word is given to the public who will also be able to share texts of female authorship to talk about the subject in question.
Free yourself! We encourage everyone to participate!”
NOTE: You’ll probably need some Portuguese for this one.
FREE ENTRY.
