Here’s what the organizers of this historically and technologically diverse celebration of the Portuguese Revolution tell us:
“Another year in which the 25th of April will not be what it used to be at Casa da Achada … but this year we will also be celebrating and singing!
At midnight on the 24th, or, more precisely, at midnight and a minute on the 25th of April, we will publish here on this page the listening program «The 25th of April – those two years», built last year from of the Casa da Achada exhibition «O 25 de Abril al fresco» and with many songs from the GAC (Cultural Action Group) in between.
At 11 am, in Largo da Achada, in the open air, we will launch the 1st volume of ‘Clandestine Passenger,’ Mário Dionísio’s diary, until now unprecedented, which was intermittently written between 1950 and 1989. This first volume goes from 1950 to 1957 and it is accompanied by a volume of ‘Notes’ by Eduarda Dionísio.
At 4 pm, Rádio Paralelo will broadcast a special Achada na Rádio program … in which many of the headings we are used to are dedicated to the 25th of April. The program repeats at 20h on Rádio Paralelo and is published here on our page on the 26th.”
And all of the above celebrations and commemorations are free.
