GAA Portugal will host it’s first event on March 17th, 2018 at the Centro Desportivo Nacional do Jamor in Cruz Quebrada in association with the IrlEmbassy Lisbon. The Football tournament will feature the LX Celtiberos, Portugal’s first GAA Club playing against Keltoi Vigo & Cambados Gaélico. There will be both men’s and women’s competitions. They’ll be assembling a few teams on the day so anyone that wants to join in and play is very welcome. No previous GAA experience is required. This will be a fun and friendly tournament. 

The tournament begins at 10am. From 12h – 14h there will be a family event of games, competitions, face painting, and more with catering by our friends at Sama Sama – Crêpe and Juice Bar.

Expect some Irish Dancing by the Rince Na Lisboa Academy of Irish Dance Portugalalong with some live music from Crann Mór.

Barry Anderson from SPOT On Sports will be running a Kid’s Camp – Introduction to Gaelic Football. Barry has years of experience coaching in Ireland and has developed special training footballs to make it easier for beginners to quickly learn the necessary skills and correct techniques. For rugby fans, we will be breaking to show the Ireland vs. England game at 2.45pm.
