STORYTELLING OPEN MIC | Lost in Translation: A Storytelling Event | Anjos | FREE

November 22, 2018 @ 19:00 - 22:00

Free

Here’s a short story.
When I was a small Russian-only-speaking boy walking around supermarkets in the U.S., I was fascinated by the fact that this magical country put so many condoms in their food products that, when they didn’t, they had to put a big sign on the product. A sign that says, “No Preservatives.”
You see, the Russian word for “condom” is literally “preservative.”
I still think the U.S. is a magical place.

Got a similar story about things lost in translation? Wanna hear some more?
Here’s what Anjos70 tell us:
“Sharing experiences from voices from around the world in an open-mic storytelling format.
Stories for those times that you were misunderstood, missed the joke, caught the wrong cue, or just plain had no clue what was going on.
Join us…
