In a world getting progressively worse, communication remains key. It’s no secret that music is the most universal language of all, with pictures coming in at a close second. And then there’s cookies…

But words, regardless of who has the best ones, still matter. Which is why languages also remain key.

This coming week, you have a chance to open some doors, language-wise, courtesy of the University of Lisbon (and FLUL, their affiliate).

Here are their words:
“There is no two without three! And so there is another DESTRAVA (“Unlock”): the Language Festival, which will bring to FLUL open language classes, workshops, poetry reading, theater, meditation, international documentaries, some fado, a lot of talks, and who knows. ..bolachas (“cookies”) and cooks, as the poster promises!”
