The good people behind Já International Theatre are putting on a massive festival of theater, journalism, poetry, and more, taking place across some very iconic Lisbon locations:
“Starting Monday 10 April, JÁ goes bigger and bolder than ever before as it partners with Lisbon venues Cossoul, Casa Fernando Pessoa, Teatro do Bairro, Polo Cultural Gaivotas and Prisma Estúdio to bring you the very first JÁ FEST Festival of theatre, literature, journalism and poetry film!
JÁFEST 2023 will celebrate European and international storytelling in an array of genres, including JÁ’s first-ever Poetry Film competition!
We will bring together talent from all over Europe to do what JÁ has always endeavoured to do – tell stories that move.
At a time when democratic values and human rights are under attack all over the world, the festival will also include a special exhibition dedicated to 4 brave journalists who dedicated their lives to bearing witness to the world as it is.”
