According to classical musicians Ace of Base, all that she wants is just another baby. But we all know that, when it comes to women, things are not that complicated, nor are they that simple…
Anyhoo. Here’s what organizers the Gulbenkian say about ‘All I want’ — their all-female, three-month-long, two-century-spanning art exhibit openening June 2:
“The self-portrait by Aurélia de Sousa (painted in 1900) is the starting point of a selection of works by Portuguese female artists from the 20th century to the present day, promoting a reflection on a world of artistic creation dominated by men for many centuries.”
The exhibition includes the works of 40 famous ladies, donated from public and private collections, and consists of paintings, sculptures, drawings, objects, books, installations, film, and video.”
