Lisbon’s Museu Nacional de Arte Contemporânea (MNAC) has survived the apocalypse thus far, as clearly evidenced by the pregnant hipster couple on the left. To celebrate, they welcome back their Noites de Verão musical series to their Sculpture Garden, every Friday in August, starting at 19h.
From MANC:
“This year’s edition reinforces the identity of a program that focuses on the ethical dimension of art and its contribution as an essential factor in collective life. In this 11th edition of Summer Nights, we bring to MNAC, in the words of the producer Filho Único, ‘musicians and shows with courage, integrity, intelligence and emotional honesty, even more now than ever, in the challenging period we live in.'”
The program (with links to the artists):
August 7 – Nuno Rebelo.
August 14 – Cafetra presents Banda Fetra.
August 21 – Susana Santos Silva.
August 28 – José Braima Galissá.
Showtimes at 19h.
FREE ENTRY (but with limited capacity and a mandatory ticket from the box office, starting at 18h30, on a first-come-first-serve basis).
