The Lisbon Players describes itself as “a welcoming and increasingly known theatre space that has been providing a varied repertoire of plays in English to Lisbon audiences for almost 70 years.”
We probably don’t have to tell you what The Nutcracker and the Mouse King is, right?
Seeing as it’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas, the theater invites you to “a semi-staged reading” of the classic.
Here’s what they tell us:
“Our performance of this story, so well known in the ballet version by Tchaikovsky, is based on the original tale, written at the turn of the nineteenth century by E.T.A. Hoffmann. Come and watch a talented cast of young and old bring to life this rich Christmas tale. This event will, of course, include sugar-plum delights and mulled wine.”
