“Music is liquid architecture; architecture is frozen music.”
– Johann Wolfgang von Goethe
Even if you haven’t read any of his other stuff, you can probably still guess that Goethe would have been a fan of jazz.
Which is why The Goethe Institute of Portugal is keeping things flowing with the 15th edition of JiGG: Jazz in the Goethe Garden.
Dig it — seven days of live jazz (and other) acts, from Portugal, Switzerland, Austria, Spain, Italy, and Germany, in one of the city’s most wicked gardens, for five bucks a pop.
If you’re looking for some international liquid architecture amid some historical frozen music, this one’s for you.
Tickets: 5€ (3€ for students, seniors, and Institute Alumni).
